Return & Exchange Policy

1. Donation & Reward Character

All transactions conducted on the ESSS Space Merch portal represent voluntary public donations to the Ethiopian Space Science Society (ESSS), a registered Civil Society Organization (CSO) in Ethiopia. The thank-you items (hoodies, stickers, gear, etc.) selected by supporters are distributed as reward incentives for these donations. Because these items are rewards for charitable contributions, they do not constitute standard retail purchases.

2. Sizing Exchanges

We want you to love your cosmic gear! If you receive an apparel item (e.g., hoodie, t-shirt) that does not fit correctly, you may exchange it for a different size of the same item within 7 days of picking up your reward, provided:

• The item is completely unworn, unwashed, and in its original, undamaged condition.
• The requested size is currently available in stock.

Exchanges must be completed in-person at our main office location during regular working hours.

3. Damaged or Defective Items

Every item is inspected prior to package confirmation. However, if your reward item has an manufacturing defect or is damaged at the time of pickup, please report it immediately to our team at the pickup desk or contact us within 48 hours of pickup. We will happily replace it with a brand new, identical item free of charge. If the item is out of stock, we will offer an alternative reward of equivalent value.

4. Refunds

As all financial contributions are immediately allocated to fund our public astronomy school programs, space outreach campaigns, and infrastructure costs, all donations are strictly non-refundable. We do not issue cash refunds, card reversals, or payment rollbacks under any circumstances, except in rare instances where a double charge occurred during secure digital processing.
